BOARD OF DIRECTORS

  • Debbie Burt

    FOUNDER & PRESIDENT

Debbie is Jason’s maternal aunt. She has been a small business owner in the field of software project management for over 12 years and has past experience as a member on two other nonprofit boards.

“Being Jason’s aunt, his mother’s sister, I have many wonderful experiences with Jason starting when he was a baby. My favorites are when I got to babysit him when he was little, when I got to pick him up from school before he started driving, and when he showed me around his new car when he was in college. These one-on-one times together are my favorite memories. In this picture, we are at my father’s, his grandfather’s, birthday party in November 2019.”

  • Connie Millard

    FOUNDER & VICE PRESIDENT

Connie is Jason’s mother. She has worked in a school district in North Texas for 22 years, beginning when Jason was in 1st grade. Her current position is an Office Manager for a Science and Nature center. When both of her children were in elementary school, they visited the center on field trips. She feels fortunate to be working in an environment that Jason enjoyed, as he would visit the Center each time he was in town.

“Some of my most memorable times spent with my Jason were out in nature; hiking, camping, going boating on the lake, bonfires at home and our annual Summer beach trip together with his sister, Wendy. I am so very very thankful for all the fun times we had and the sweet memories we made. It is no surprise that Jason chose a career taking him out into nature, the ocean. In the above picture, we are at the Texas Tech Geology building where Jason majored in Geophysics and minored in Mathematics in 2019.”

  • Wendy Krell

    FOUNDER & BOARD DIRECTOR

Wendy is Jason’s older sister. She is a graduate of Lamar university where she played volleyball for 4 years and earned a degree in business marketing. She works in higher education and loves to travel.

“I have lots of memories with my brother as we grew up together. The annual beach trips were always something that we looked forward to! Some of my favorite memories, though, are as we got older and started to do more things together. We loved visiting different breweries together (the above picture is from a brewery in Pensacola, FL) and I enjoyed showing him around some of my favorite places in Dallas. It was also really fun when he added another Jeep to the family, because I have one too, so of course I had to drive it! I will always remember Jason as being so funny and so smart.“
